Gear Review: Eagles Nest Outfitters (ENO) Travel Rag
Have you ever gone camping at a campground and taken a shower only to find that you’ve forgotten to bring a towel? I have, and more than once. Camping towels, like the Travel Rag from Eagle Nest Outfitters, are a convenient item to include in personal care kit so that you’re never caught naked again, and dripping wet.
It doesn’t matter if you are car camping or backpacking, the Travel Rag is a unobtrusive piece of gear
that has a variety of functions beyond just drying off after a shower or swim. Weighing just 1.4 oz., the Travel Rag is 22″ x12″, is about the size of a handkerchief and can be used as a pot holder, a sponge, a washcloth, or even as a bath towel, despite it’s miniature size.
In addition, the Travel Rag is astonishingly absorbent. I tested this by using it as a bath towel at home for a few days. I was skeptical at first because it’s suede like texture is different from the other camping towels that I own. But, the Travel Rag is as good or better for drying off with and easier to ring dry because the material is thinner.
