It’s been a while since we’ve made noticable updates and posts to the website but that will be changing over the next few weeks. We are working on a new layout for the main site and also getting the Store fully updated with our latest inventory.

Just a quick post to get some input! The weather here in Maryland has taken a quick turn for “nasty” and we are supposed to get rain for the next few days, including through the weekend. It feels like the winter season quickly showed up, rather than having a chance to enjoy the fall weather.
So, while I was planning on to get in a hike at Gambrill State Park this weekend, it looks like that idea is shot. So, what do you do on a nasty rainy and cold weekend when you can’t get out on the trail to go hiking but wish you were?
Here’s a couple thing’s that I’ve been thinking about doing:

Here’s the skinny – it was time for me to move out and get my own place. So my Fiance and I moved into a townhouse in the area of Frederick, MD. This is a great location because of all the activities going on around in the area, the close proximity to parks, and the easy access to the Appalachian Trail. So, because of those reasons, you should see some more hiking and trip reports coming up in the coming months!

Just a quick post to say I hope that you and your families have a great Holiday season. With Christmas just a few days away, Hanukkah just getting started, and the New Year coming soon, its a time to celebrate, spend time with family, and just enjoy the time that you have.

It has been a while since I have been out on the trail so this weekend, since the weather is supposed to be nice (upper 50’s on Saturday, maybe even into the 60 degree range) I am going to head out to the local state park and take a hike. I plan on takng some new gear to test – the Eagles Nest Outfitters DryFly and the GSI Outdoors 2L Pinnacle Pot & Fry Pan set. I’m also planning on working on some fire building techniques using the Light My Fire firesteel
.
Look for pictures and video to follow! I hope to spend a good few hours out over lunch and enjoy the day! I’ll definitely be taking my ENO hammock
to set up and just chill out for a little too!
